When a convicted serial killer known as Shadow performs a bizarre occult ritual shortly before his execution, he infects his fellow inmates with the thirst for human blood and prompts the warden to have them all slaughtered. Twenty years later, the undead spirits have unleashed their wrath on the facility, which is now a prison for women. The resurrected Shadow is seeking Solitaire, a mysterious beauty with supernatural powers; she is serving time at the prison and senses her impending doom.
