Scrums NDP Justice Critic Joe Comartin, Bloc Québécois House Leader Pierre Paquette and Liberal Justice Critic Dominic LeBlanc spoke with reporters about the fate of the federal long-gun registry, the negotiations on the release of the Afghan detainee documents, and Canada’s military role in Afghanistan after 2011.  NDP Foreign Affairs Critic Paul Dewar also spoke about the mission in Afghanistan, as well as on Israel’s raid on the Gaza-bound aid flotilla. Bloc Environment Critic Bernard Bigras discussed the recent Environment Canada report that shows the Conservatives’ inaction on fighting climate change.
