Who is the Guardian? A hero? A failure? A savior? A man? Possessing heightened perception, foresight and unparalleled strength, the Guardian assumes the responsibility of finding and assisting those with the potential to become the next generation of world leaders, spiritual advisers and peacekeepers.  Unable to manifest his powers, except while in direct, physical contact of those he protects, the Guardian wanders the Earth in search of "worthy" candidates. When he fails in his self-appointed mission, the Guardian, haunted by "what might have been", succumbs to a life of perpetual despair, self-loathing isolation and cynicism. Overwhelmed by the enormity of this failures, he finds himself having to choose between a self-absorbed finality or coming to terms with what it truly means to be a Guardian.
