Skidding Sequence
The first brief for Unit 14 was called 'Diagrammatic Instruction'. We were asked to 'describe, using as simple means as possible: a conversation, a gesture or/and an action'.  I decided to map the action of 'Skidding' with a fixed gear bicycle. Skidding happens when a fixed gear cyclist resists his turning cranks by: - shifting his weight slightly forward - pulling the pedals up with the use of straps and so locking the rear wheel. This form of breaking replaces the need of actual breaks, for those who master this type of bicycle. Fixed gear cyclist: Christos Antonopoulos more at:
