While daydreaming on her way home from school, Dorie Goodwyn finds herself on an unfamiliar street in front of the mysterious 'The Rusty Broom Magic Shop.' Curiosity gets the best of her, Dorie decides to check it out and she comes face to face with a real live honest-to-goodness witch! But when Dorie shouts the word 'witch', the scary sorceress immediately transforms into a little green glob! The glob, named Patina, explains this happens when a witch’s secret identity is revealed.  Patina now needs Dorie to become an apprentice witch, or Witchling, and learn the ways of magic to eventually restore Patina to her former state of witchly, glory. With help from Patina's fairy, Laralie, Dorie is ready to begin her wonderful Witchling adventure!
