Members of the British House of Commons held an emergency debate to discuss whether a full public inquiry was needed to look into accusations that the British tabloid News of the World hacked into the cell phone messages of celebrities and royals, British politicians, missing children, and the families of service personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Rupert Murdoch’s News International announced that it is shutting down the newspaper.
