3D Systems (TDSC) announced Monday that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Accelerated Technologies, a Texas-based provider of custom parts services, in a bid to continue the expansion of its 3Dproparts services. TDSC intends to incorporate Accelerated Technologies into its growing custom parts services network under its Quickparts and 3Dproparts brands. The company has announced plans to continue to expand its 3Dproparts and Quickparts service offerings domestically and internationally, through organic growth and additional strategic acquisitions. They are part of TDSC’s custom parts services business segment, which was launched in October of 2009. Shares are down 2.58% to $43.51.
