HIV/AIDS in South Africa is a prominent health concern because South Africa is believed to have more people with HIV/AIDS than any other country. National prevalence is around 11%, with some age groups being particularly affected. Almost one-in-three women aged 25-29, and over a quarter of men aged 30-34, are living with HIV. Gail Johnson, Director of Nkosi’s Haven says the govt was arrogant and did nothing to stop the spread of the virus. People were recommended beetroot, garlic and onions and as a result people died in vain.
