Scott’s father buys him a drag racer and pushes him to succeed. However his rebellious nature causes him to do poorly. Deeply discouraged, his girlfriend persuades him to join a professional race team. As the team tours the racing circuit, Scott gains technical knowledge and the respect of his teammates. When the team's top driver is injured, Scott gets the chance to compete in the national championships. Will Scott win? Either way Scott and his father reconcile and go on to win victories.
