In God’s divine order, the man’s position represents authority in the home. Christ, who is head of the church and “who nourishes and cherishes it” models the husband’s ministry to the wife. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it (Ephesians 5:23, 25 and 28). Men who do not understand what it is to be a husband make it difficult for their wives to respond to them positively. Men need to know the truth about manhood and what their role should be in marriage.
