Deadliest Earthquakes: Nova
This episode of the long-running PBS documentary program "NOVA" journeys to Haiti in the chaotic aftermath of that country’s devastating 2010 earthquake, shadowing a group of American geologists as they search for clues to the cause of the temblor. Also visiting a site in Chile rocked by an earthquake-induced tsunami, the scientists hope their findings will enable them to assess the risk of future quakes — and eventually even predict them.
