Heribert Plich hat genug um die Ohren - einen schießwütigen Anfänger an seiner Seite, drei Tote an einem Tag und nur ein Bein. Dabei muss der Wiener Bulle auch noch Kollegen Kurt Hofbauer im Auge behalten, denn der ist hinter seinem Job her. Plich kommt nicht umhin den alten Major Kottan aus dem Ruhestand zu holen und ist mit dessen Hilfe schon bald einem Spiel um Millionensummen auf der Spur.
