伊朗4艘國產輕型潛艇在阿巴斯港下水服役。 國防部長瓦希迪形容，這是伊朗軍事技術能力的體現。他表示，伊朗已經開始大批生產這種戰略潛艇，目的是提高海軍的防衞能力。 伊朗傳媒說，這種「卡迪爾」級潛艇可避開聲吶探測，同時發射導彈和魚雷，適應淺水區任務，以及進行精確打擊。
