People in Opposition to Comcast Cable Part Fifteen
People in Opposition to Comcast Cable – Part FifteenHarold B. Pritchett speaks about the future of television in the City of Wilmington, Delaware. Comcast Cable decided not to enrich the lives of the customers it serves by shutting-down live community television and not offering a component of cable television to the public or the educators within the area currently served by their cable service. Comcast Cable had promised to put forward an element of cable television for the residents when signing the current franchise agreement with the city 12 years ago. To date Comcast Cable has not developed any component to allow citizens’ access to Public or Educational Access Channels. For more than thirty years Wilmington, Delaware residents have been informed about community news and events via leased access community cable channel 28. Now Comcast Cable plans to shut-down “live” community access television.
