Masayuki Kichikawa, chief Japan economist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Tokyo, talks about the country’s economy and central bank monetary policy.   Japan’s Tankan survey showed companies are confident demand will pick up this year as they restore production and hire workers after the earthquake that triggered the biggest plunge in sentiment since 2009.
