In the Studio: Jim Lambie
Jim Lambie’s latest floor-filler14.08.2009 TateShots visited Glasgow to meet artist Jim Lambie in his studio. Currently on show at Tate Liverpool’s Colour Chart exhibition is one of Lambie’s best known works, Zobop. In this site-specific installation, coloured vinyl tape is used to trace around the floor of the gallery, creating a dizzying pattern that reflects the architectural particularities of the building. Here he talks about installing the work, and the crossover with his other life as a musician and DJ.
