VACATIONS FOR BARGAIN HUNTERS
With the economy continuing to tumble, people are cutting back on their travel plans to save money... but less people traveling can actually mean better deals for you. Resorts, hotels, and other destinations that are normally packed during the summer and usually charge premium rates are under booked during this season of economic discontent, and they’re lowering their prices in order to attract bargain hunters. For example, last summer Las Vegas was packed to the gills every night, with hotel rooms in the city at 95 per cent capacity even in the middle of the week. But this year, even busy weekends like the 4th of July are seeing the town at only about 80 per cent capacity, and room rates have dropped from an average of 130 dollars a night last year to under 100 a night this summer. The resort owners aren't advertising their low rates, but you can get a great deal at many of the hotel and resorts in Vegas you never thought you could afford. So start looking around at room rates in Vegas and other travel destinations... you might just find a great deal at a place you've always wanted to stay. The economy may be bad, but you can still get great deals to make up for it this summer.
