Psychomigrations (English Subtitles)
Psychomigrations (English Subtitles) — PsychoMigrations A Film By Tzachi Schiff Duration: 9:58 minutes Contact: zk@bezeqint.net Cell: +972-546866022 Land: +972-37412495 Synopsis Horacio Cardo, illustrating the more distinguished newspapers and magazines all over the world, is in the center of a storm that arose following an exhibition of his artistic works that was held in Buenos-Aires, Argentina - his homeland. The theme of the exhibition is Cardo’s loathing of psychoanalysis and, mainly, of its founding father - Sigmund Freud. Cardo's works, with or without regard to Freud, are, no doubt, very intense, unique, daring, surprising and impressive. The exhibition was preceded by - and based on - Cardo's book: "Sigmund, Fraud and psychoanalysis". (No, it is not a typo Cardo spells 'Fraud' instead of 'Freud' and this is the shortest possible expression of his views on the issue
). Underlining Cardo's works is the notion that "Freudism is based upon over-worked imagination, detached from reality and supported by a series of fairy tales". As Buenos-Aires leads the world in the volume of the population being psychoanalyzed the offsetting, adverse and smart artistic work of Horacio Cardo is a necessary cultural tool worth using for the purpose of probing the mysterious world of psychoanalysis. Fragments of the book, and works of art, are presented in the film highlighting the bitter judgments of the artist concerning his nemesis: Freud.
