People with multiple sclerosis, or MS, who take interferon, Betaseron, Avonex, or Rebif, sometimes develop neutralizing antibodies. New data establishes a connection between these antibodies and the worsening of disease, increased progression, and increased disability, because the antibodies neutralize the effectiveness of the interferon treatment.
