Scrums Citizenship Minister Jason Kenney, Liberal Human Rights critic Irwin Cotler and NDP Citizenship critic Olivia Chow responded to questions about the Conservative’s human smuggling bill. The Liberals announced today that they will not be supporting Bill C-49. Bloc Québécois leader Gilles Duceppe discussed copyright legislation, the smuggling bill and WikiLeaks documents which suggest that Canada has an "inferiority complex” when it comes to the United States. NDP leader Jack Layton also commented on Canada’s supposed inferiority complex, as well as reports that the Conservatives have spent $100 million on polling over the last five years.
