Community Unity Festival on 5th Street marked a Historical event as a horse drawn fire engine races from firehouse 23 onto the streets of Los Angeles for the first time in 86 years! The theme was Building Healthy Communities. The goal of the event was to bring the loft folks, Skid Row community and merchants together to promote understanding of each other’s needs, have a goodtime together and build 1 community for the benefit of all downtown.
