Energy Sector Update: March 23, 2011
Energy shares are mixed in mid-day trading as May crude prices top $105 a barrel. Light, sweet crude oil for May delivery traded up 0.65% to $105.65 a barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil is down 0.22% to $3.06 a gallon while natural gas is up 1.39% to $4.31 per million British thermal units. In mid-day news, PetroChina (PTR) is up 2.29% to $142.50, after the company said its first liquefied natural gas or LNG terminal will receive its first cargo between April 26 and 28 and start selling the fuel in late May.
