120家精密機械廠商在台中世貿中心徵才，據統計中部的薪水低於北、南部，不少民眾對機械業仍有「黑手」的刻板印象，白白放棄待遇不錯的職缺；行政院長吳敦義認為行銷不夠，民眾就業觀念也要改變（20110716）。
