Ganpati festival goes eco-friendly
Every Ganpati festival, Shalaka Chavan’s family keeps an idol at home. A 40-year-old tradition that ends with immersion at Juhu beach. But this year, there would be a change. The immersion will be in a nearby artificial pond. Shalaka Chavan, a devotee, says: "This is much better. There is less pollution and it's also better for the sea life."
