鳴子温泉で多数の旅客を乗せ列車は出発。川渡温泉を過ぎ池月を通過するあたりから平坦な耕地の広がる区間になります。新庄-鳴子温泉区間とは異なる開放的な前面展望が見れますが、単調になりがちです。岩出山、北浦（運転停車）で対向列車とすれ違い。左から東北本線、石巻線と合流すれば小牛田に到着します。左側前面奥には「こがねふかひれ」が見えています。↓ぼろりぁびゅう@YouTube(1280x720)
