USS Vinson Returns
iReport — After being tasked with burying Osama Bin Laden, the USS Carl Vinson’s 5,000 + military arrive back in San Diego. Rear Admiral Samuel Perez is the first off the USS Carl Vinson and holds a press conference, then the homecoming as the sailors, airmen and Marines aboard reunite with their loved ones. "The sailors, Marines and airmen aboard the USS Carl Vinson feel "good" about their part in a history-making mission that included the burial at sea of terrorist Osama bin Laden", the San Diego-based aircraft carrier's commanding officer said Monday in a conference call. "They are feeling good about what they accomplished in this mission."
