Diving Newfound Bay - St. John, US Virgin Islands
Harry and Maria, The Reluctant Tour Guides, take "Lady Di," a 13 foot Boston Whaler from Flanagan Island (where we had been spearfishing) around the eastern end of St. John to the secluded Newfound Bay. Newfound is a great dive with most of the coral in relatively shallow water. Right off we encounter a large stingray and there are many other different fish as well along with a large variety of plant life. There are no roads to Newfound Bay, you either have to hike in or go there by boat. It is a popular destination for many of the Day Sails out of Coral Bay.
