Tweet   the last part of the exciting series of what the boys and gerls from the Eastliegh Railway Workshops were doing during the War Years. The factory was given over to the war effort with men and women who usually made carriages and sundry equipment now employed making gliders and airframes and also the famous Spitfire was built here.  Natrually, the Luftewaffe tried many times to bomb this particul More..ar factory. In industrial history it holds a special place does the Eastligh Works ... shown by popular request .. well, I made the last bit up but if you watched the first 3 parts you’ll understand :-)
