"Acrobats" (2008) is Daniel Lavín first feature film, an independent production selected for the 46th Gijón International Film Festival and the 3rd Abycine International Film Festival.  The film explores the intersections of three Tokyoites facing the hardships birthed from the loneliness of Tokyo, submerging into the struggles from their daily lives. A salaryman loses his job, thrusting him to the edge of reason. The lead singer of a rock band is on the cusp of being ousted by his own members. A convenient store clerk pursues her feelings of love, as well as the hidden daggers that come with it. These individuals must walk the tightrope act layed out before them in this beautiful, kinetic, and desolate urban jungle. Written, produced and directed by Daniel Lavín.
