氷点下、水浴び仁王立ち 北海道で「寒中みそぎ祭」
北海道木古内（きこない）町の佐女川（さめがわ）神社で１４日、若い男たちが冷たい水をかぶる荒行の「水ごり」をした。気温は零下５．６度。大勢の町民や観光客が見守るなか、下帯姿の行修者（ぎょうしゅうしゃ）と呼ばれる４人が冷水を浴び続けた。 「寒中みそぎ祭」と呼ばれる伝統行事で、１８３１（天保２）年に始まり、今年で１８１回目。
