米共和党のロムニー前マサチューセッツ州知事、2012年大統領選への出馬を正式表明
アメリカ共和党のミット・ロムニー前マサチューセッツ州知事が2日、ニューハンプシャー州で、2012年の大統領選挙への出馬を正式に表明した。ロムニー氏は「アメリカはきっと元に戻る。わたし、ミット・ロムニーはアメリカを信じている。大統領選への出馬を宣言する」と述べた。ロムニー氏は、演説の中で「オバマ大統領は景気低迷を悪化させ、長引かせた」などと述べ、現在の政権運営を厳しく批判し、そのうえで、「わたしが大統領執務室に入ったら、一番の仕事はアメリカの雇用創出になる」と述べたほか、オバマ政権が進めた医療保険改革を「撤廃する」考えを示した。最近の世論調査で、共和党候補の中ではトップを走るロムニー氏の出馬で、共和党の候補指名争いがこれから本格化することになる。
