Human Experimentation: From Tuskegee 1932 to Today
Mary Starke Harper is the last surviving member of the health care team that conducted the famous Tuskegee Syphilis Study.  Starting as a student nurse at the Tuskegee Institute, her experiences inspired her to ultimately work from the inside to reform the way federally funded research could be conducted on humans. Dr. Harper is a Ph.D, RN, and FAAN, and has been a health care advisor to four presidents. From the Series:UVA NewsMakers 2005
