Oregon remained in the top spot in the Bowl Championship Series standings this week, while LSU jumped to fifth following its home win over Alabama. Oregon (.9638), also ranked No. 1 in the AP poll for the fourth straight week, are 9-0 and off to the best start in school history. LSU was 10th in the BCS standings last week, but moved up five places thanks to a 24-21 victory over the Crimson Tide, who slid to 12th and saw their hopes of a second straight national championship all but end.
