Charmurti was released on 1978 Bengali film starring Chinmoy Roy, Robi Ghosh, Satya Banerjee, Santosh Dutta, Shambhu Bhattacharya, Kajal Gupta, Biplab Chatterjee, Rita Sanyal. The Bengali film is directed by Umanath Bhattacharya. Ajoy Das scored the music in the film. The story is as another great comedy adventure set in the wilderness. The movie is based on the adventures of four high school students Teni Da (Chinmoy Roy), Kabla, Pala and Habul.. After completing their SSC Exam the four go to Ramgarh to spend the holidays in the bungalow of Jhantipahar which was owned by Kabla’s uncle. The house was considered to be haunted. The eerie atmosphere, the ugly housekeeper, and some unnatural incidents condense the mystery. Kabla, Teni and Pala probe into the mystery and get into a conflict with the imposter hermit Ghutghutanada, Gajeshwar and Seth Dhundauram. Ultimately, the trio, who were running a business for producing fake notes near the bungalow of Kabla's uncle are arrested by the efforts of the courageous Kabla and Teni.
