The CS project’s mission is to create a better world through the exchange cultures and the opening of homes, minds, and hearts. The CS project first started to allow travelers the opportunity to stay with local hosts for no cost. Over the last few years, the project has developed and received a lot of attention in the media and from scholars around the world. The unique ideology of the project, which contradicts current social systems, allows CouchSurfers to develop a diverse outlook on their interactions with others across the globe.
