Band says it was never meant as a political statement
It’s come a long way. Less than a generation ago, it was illegal for white and black musicians to be on stage together like Tumi and the Volume today. But the band says it was never meant as a political statement. Tiago Paulo, Guitarist, Tumi and the Volume, "One day, it happened to be the four of us, two guys are black, two guys are white, but was nothing to do with colour it was just like, four guys who understood themselves."
