Tubb wants to make things disappear with the toy wand that Benjie got for his birthday, but he keeps getting interrupted by Sploshy and Finbar.  When Sploshy pesters him to let her have a go with the wand, he refuses to let her have a turn and she taunts him by saying he’ll never manage to make anything disappear. Tubb says, “if only I could make things disappear!”
