The film, which made its world debut at the Sundance Film Festival on the 24th January 2010, and played at the Berlin Film Festival, will open theatrically in the US on April 16, 2010. Exit Through the Gift Shop is the story of how an eccentric Los Angeles based French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy whilst in the US, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner with spectacular results.
