Marc Riboud’s best photo collections put in the show.
Marc Riboud has been everywhere, and at the most important moments, it would seem from more than 100 photos on show at the Museum of Romantic Life in Paris. AFPTV looked back in time with the inveterate adventurer, now 85. It’s one of Marc Riboud's best known photos; one young woman, facing down bayonets. It was 1967, at an anti-war protest in Washington. Marc Riboud, Photographer, “She was saying to them, ' But I'm not hurting you, so you won't hurt me. We're the same age. We're not going to hit each other.' It was fantastic, actually, what she was saying, straight from her heart. With just a flower. "For more than half a century, Riboud has caught fleeting moments around the globe. History in the making but also the poetry of everyday life. Photos that reveal an eye for strong composition. Marc Riboud, Photographer, "These forms have no angle, no right angles, no sharp angles. It's all curves, you see, it really makes the photo. It was tricky to get this photo right."
