Former governor Johnson admits to using pot
New Mexico’s former governor, and possible presidential candidate, Gary Johnson has admitted for the first time in an interview that he had smoked pot in recent years. Conservative magazine "The Weekly Standard" says Johnson admitted to smoking marijuana from 2005 to 2008. Johnson says he broke his back in a 2005 paragliding accident and chose to smoke pot instead of dealing with the negative side effects of painkillers. He adds that he's lucky he wasn't arrested during that time. The former republican governor hasn't announced a run for president in 2012 but has raised speculation by traveling the country to promote his political views. His platform includes legalizing marijuana.
