Economic Update: Another Week Of Bad News
Standard & Poor’s Senior Economist Beth Ann Bovino notes that the data this week fueled worries that the economic recovery is starting to falter. The ADP employment report was much weaker than expected, home prices saw a new record low since their peak, and the capital goods sector also was weak.  At the least, the data suggest a much slower growth rate for the second quarter than we had expected.
