Content management of images, especially in publication scenarios where multiple crops and sizes of one image must all be available and associated together, is not a simple problem to solve.  At Mix10, I caught up with Pete Miller from Conde Nast Digital and Alex Norcliffe from Xeed. (Alex is also on the Umbraco core project team.)
