カナダ公式訪問中の英・ウィリアム王子夫妻、「ストリートホッケー」に挑戦
カナダを公式訪問中のイギリスのウィリアム王子とキャサリン妃は5日、カナダの国民的スポーツに挑戦した。公式訪問6日目の5日も、大勢の人たちから温かい歓迎を受けたウィリアム王子とキャサリン妃は、歓迎式典では記念の植樹を行った。式典のあと、ウィリアム王子はカナダの国民的スポーツ「ストリートホッケー」に挑戦し、キーパーと一対一のシュート対決に挑んだが、ボールはコースを外れ、ゴールを決めることはできなかった。一方、学生時代にフィールドホッケーの経験があるキャサリン妃は、審判の代わりに試合をスタートさせ、観客たちを沸かせた。2人は、8日までカナダに滞在することになっている。
