癌症基金會的「家庭飲食行為調查」，分別訪問139名BMI標準，及130名BMI肥胖國小學童的父母，發現胖小孩家庭父母飲食上「重量不重質」，訴求「方便」，而父母也愛吃垃圾食物，特別慣寵孩子，甚至擔心孩子吃不飽，習慣為他們在書包放零食。
