ResearchChannel continues in the effort to improve interactive high resolution communication systems.  Applications for these systems are many, and the experiments include Global-multiway uncompressed low-latency High Definition environments as well as scientific applications. Come learn about the recent demonstrations, events planned, problems encountered, and lessons learned in the real-time high-resolution communication space. The presentation will include information about recent and future projects and events such as The Neptune HD project where HD video from the Pacific sea-floor was multi-cast in real-time and the global N-way video conference, a planned seven-way low latency HD videoconference. The talk will include descriptions of the systems used, preparations at the remote sites and how problems were overcome.
