Financial Markets Expert and Professor at the European School of ManagementDW-TV: Now we’re joined by Jörg Rocholl, Financial Market Expert and Professor at the European School of Management and Technology. So, Greece said it needs more time to get its financial situation sorted. Time is money. How much time do they have? Jörg Rocholl: They won't have much time. First of all, they need to re-finance their debt. This means they need to go back to the markets and raise additional funds. And institutional investors would like to know what is going on with Greece, can they really rely on what Greece has forecasted for their growth, for their budget situation? Plus, there will be also additional questions coming from the European countries asking for a solid budget forecast.   DW-TV: Will there be also the question whether it was a mistake to allow Greece into the Eurozone? Jörg Rocholl: Certainly, this is a question that is important, given that Greece now admittedly showed wrong numbers when they tried to get into the Eurozone in 2002, but this is a question that is somehow superfluous to talk about just because we are in a difficult situation and we have to deal with this situation. DW-TV: Right, we're in the situation so the question is futile indeed but the other question is, of course, we've seen it with Iceland, we've seen it can happen that a nation can go bankrupt. What if that happened with Greece too? Jörg Rocholl: So, there are a couple of facets to that and the consequences can be felt by many constituents. First of all, clearly, the people in Greece. So they have to fear that taxes will be raised, that maybe social subsidies will be reduced, just to allow Greece to balance the budget again. Also it will have immediate consequences for other countries, just because banks, for example in Germany or in France, have invested into Greek government debt and so therefore they may need to write down this debt if it really defaul...
