It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and Long Island wife Eliza finds a note that makes her suspect her husband, Louis of having an affair with some woman named Sandy. So she and her obnoxious family all pile into the station wagon and drive up and down lower Manhattan searching for Louis so Eliza can talk to him face-to-face. Trapped in a car all day, they're going through the same motions over and over again, like vaudevillians who know only one routine. Finally, as the family gets closer to the problem at hand, they stumble into the truth about themselves.
