2010FIFAワールドカップ南アフリカ大会、第2戦のオランダ戦を日本時間19日夜に控え、日本代表は日本時間18日午後、南アフリカ・ダーバン郊外のスタジアムで、パスやポジション確認などの最終調整を行った。選手たちは緊張気味だったが、新たな決戦の地で集中力を高めていた。本田圭佑選手(24)は「あとがあるというふうに考えないで、この試合を決めるという強い気持ちを持って挑みたいと思っています」と語った。
