In a mountainous country like Japan, only 20% of the land can be built on. But that doesn’t stop developers wanting to build golf courses in rural areas. Many villagers of these rural areas are against it, not only due to the water usage, but also the chemicals that are used for the grass on the golf courses, which are damaging for their rice fields.
