Brazil and Turkey Forge Nuclear Agreement with Iran
(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: May 17, 2010) An agreement has been reached over Iran’s nuclear program in meetings with Brazil and Turkey, whereby Iran will ship some of its low-enriched uranium to Turkey in exchange for fuel rods. Iran will continue with its enrichment program, a move that likely will not sit well with the U.S., Europe and Israel. At least 35 people have been killed in India in a deadly bus attack, blamed on Maoist rebels. Thai troops are tightening the cordon around red shirt anti-government protestors in the capital of Bangkok, after the demonstrators refused to leave the area. BP says it is siphoning off more than a fifth of the oil leaking from its damaged well in the Gulf of Mexico. Sex workers in Bangladesh are being fed harmful steroids to become more attractive and curvaceous.
